Mingjue's hum of agreement was short, but thoughtful. He was warm and full and even though their discussions thus far that morning had been serious, he'd been well-exercised the night before and that sense of satisfaction had yet to leave him. With a considering look toward the door Xichen had fled through, he said, "I'd need to trust someone to receive also."
